Guilty or Innocent?
Jeffrey MacDonald, a Green Beret Doctor was convicted of the brutal murders of his pregnant wife and two daughters, Kimberly (5) and Kristen (2) in 1979. These murders took place at Fort Bragg, NC on February 17, 1970. MacDonald claims a group of four "hippy" intruders were responsible.
On June 13 1977 three pre-teenage girls were murdered while attending Girl Scout Camp at Camp Scott in Locust Grove, OK. Subsequently, a Native American man named Gene Leroy Hart was arrested and later acquitted of the murders. Was he innocent? Did police frame an innocent man in order to further oppress the Cherokee Indian and close the case for political reasons? What about the evidence that points towards his guilt...and the evidence that surely shows his innocence.
Dr. Sam Sheppard was arrested for the July 3, 1954 murder of his wife. Despite claiming his innocence and never changing his story about a "bushy haired" intruder, he was convicted. What proceeded was called the original "Trial of the Century".
Cheri Jo Bates was murdered October 30, 1966 on the campus of Riverside College in California. This case has gone unsolved despite a tremendous effort by the Riverside Police Department.
During a recent Dateline broadcast about the Idaho Murders, it was revealed that according to police reports the suspect, Bryan Kohberger, had watched multiple episodes of Unsolved No More, including Detective Mains’ series on Ted Bundy. Our video thumbnails were also shown during the segment. This revelation doesn’t come as a surprise. In fact, Detective Kenneth L. Mains previously stated in one of those episodes that he believed the suspect would be watching. Additional connections between Kohberger and Unsolved No More have also come to light. So, we reached out to Dateline and Kohberger to find out why.
