 Written as a screenplay and based on a true story. A twenty-three year old female goes missing in 1992 after last being seen with two young men. After a hasty and substandard investigation the case goes cold. Then, in 2008, a young Police Officer takes it upon himself to solve the case on his own time in his own way. This is the true story of Detective Ken Mains' first cold case. 

 A mother and young daughter are found brutally murdered inside their own residence on September 2, 1994. Twenty-three-year-old Gail Mathews and her five-year-old daughter Tamara Berkheiser were found beaten, strangled and stabbed with their throats cut.Four years later an arrest is finally made. Those charges were dropped. In 2001, the suspect is arrested once again. Charges were dismissed for the second time.
